PHOTOGRAPHS: COLOR

John Brook on photographing from a 1973 interview:

“Photography as I do it is just merely an extension of all the other things I do. If I go walking in the woods and I see something beautiful then I may want to take a picture of it just because it is beautiful, and if I am dating a woman that I think is beautiful then I may want to take her picture [laughter] for the same reason. But the things I want to photograph are things … that are a part of my everyday life and that I consider are of sufficient importance to be worth preserving in a photograph.”
